What is the ECO4 Scheme?

ECO4 is the fourth phase of the Government’s Energy Company Obligation. It started in August 2022 and it’s due to continue until 31 March 2026. The ECO4 Scheme aims to provide free energy-saving measures for vulnerable households to improve the efficiency and heating of their home.

Who's eligible for ECO4?

We’ve listed below the eligibility criteria for ECO4. Please note we will complete a DWP check before any installation can take place. If you receive Child Benefits only, you’ll be asked to provide your Child Benefit Award Notice, a signed self-declaration, and evidence to support your eligibility. Total Household Income thresholds will apply.

You’ll need; an EPC rating of E or below(1) as well as being in receipt of one of the following;

  • Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Pension Credit Savings Credit
  • Child Benefit
